I used various brushes including the extra large and small Pro Arte Ron Ranson Hake brushes, 3/4" synthetic flat brush and a fine unbranded Chinese calligraphy brush, otherwise known as a rat liner, the hairs are about 1.5cm/1/2" long and it comes to a fine point, so any small round with a good point will do. I used masking fluid to mask out the umbrellas and a few lights in the cafe bar before painting. My board is at an angle of about 45 degrees tilt.
My paper is 100% cotton Saunders Waterford, cold pressed, 140lb/300g weight, 11" x 15"/28cm x 38cm. Thanks for watching, and happy painting!
