Authentic Dishes with my personal Touch 😍
Ingredients
Flatten Rice / Poha -2 cups
Peanuts -1/2 cup
Pottu Kadala -2tbsp
Cashew nuts -1/4cup
Raisins -handful
Curry leaves -
Dry red chilli -2 opt
Chilli Powder -1/2tsp
Asafoetida Powder -2pinch
Turmeric Powder -1/4tsp
Salt-
Powdered Sugar -2tsp
Oil -1tsp
Oil -for frying
Method
Take 2 cups of flatten rice (Aval) and roast it. Also roast peanuts, pottu kadala,cashew nuts(you can use nuts to you preference). Take a big frying wok. Heat oil to medium heat. Take a sieve and add the curry leaves to the sieve and fry it in the oil. Remove the curry leaves to a kitchen tissue. Now fry the Poha in batches . just dip the sieve with the poha for few mins. It should not be over fried . then fry the peanuts. It will pop. Then we can know it is done. Then fry the pottu kadala. Now fry the cashew nuts. Fry it till light brown. Fry some raisins. Take a small bowl add the spices to it. ½ tsp chilly powder, a pinch tsp turmeric, asafetida powder, salt and powdered sugar(optional), (kala namak and fennel seeds powder is optional). Mix this powder well. Take a kadai 1 tsp oil . add whole red chilly to the heated oil. Switch off the heat. Add the masala powders. Stir continuously . now add the fried items into the masala. Then turn on heat to low. Fry the entire mix in the masala. Fry for 2 mins. Check for salt. Then serve. Store in a glass jar.
