But didn't I use OSB (Oriented Strand Board) on the cabins I built at Red Moose Ranch? Yes! But there's a big BUT! That climate is far dryer and less humid (perched at 3000 ft) as opposed to the damp coastal air at sea level...where this shed studio is being built.
So with moisture being ever prevalent in the air, the ground, and obviously falling from the sky in the form of rain, I decide to use plywood on this build. As I've always said, "build according to YOUR climate." You wouldn't build an igloo in Arizona, would you?
In this episode, after I install bird blocks between the rafters, I prep the sheathing for future roof ventilation. It's easy! I also frame and side the gable ends, using the popular Z flashing...
