Taking Cooking food back to basics. https://www.amazon.co.uk/shop/backyardchef NEW FACEBOOK PAGE - https://www.facebook.com/groups/backyardchefscasualkitchen NOTE: You have to answer all membership questions to join it's fully automated and accept group rules Ingredients: • Flour: 500g (4 cups UK, 4 1/8 cups US) bread flour or all-purpose/plain flour - I used 250 all-purpose/plain flour and 250 bread flour • Sugar: 50g (4 tbsp UK, 3 ½ tbsp US) granulated sugar • Salt: 7g (1 ¼ tsp) • Instant Yeast: 7g (2 ¼ tsp) or active dry yeast (proof in warm milk) • Milk: 250ml (1 cup UK, 1 cup US) warm whole milk (38-40°C / 100-105°F) • Butter: 60g (4 tbsp UK, 3 ½ tbsp US) softened, unsalted butter • Egg: 1 large egg For Brushing: • Milk or egg wash: 1 tbsp milk or 1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp water • Melted butter: 30g (2 tbsp UK, 1 ¾ tbsp US) for brushing after baking Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
