Eddie Jones spent 15 years in the league as your prototypical swingman playing an important role on both ends of the floor for the majority of his time in the league. He was the athletic scorer in LA before Kobe Bryant, and even when Kobe was brought in to likely replace him, Jones showed his character by mentoring Bryant. He spent his best individual season in Charlotte which saw him lead the NBA in steals in 2000. He then became a fan favourite in MIami where he would spend the next 5 years of his career before playing for 3 teams in 3 years (including a second stint in Miami) to finish his career. But Eddie Jones did all this and still seemed to fly under the radar, because he didn't want or need the spotlight and was fine with being a second or third option behind some of the biggest stars of his era. Regardless of the situation you also knew what to expect from the 3 time all star, Steady Eddie Jones.
