Are you on the fence about purchasing an all electric chainsaw? Don't be! I do quite a bit of wood cutting for my home heating and this chainsaw is a dream to run. It has plenty of power and the battery stands up to the job! In this video I'll share my personal experience with the 18" EGO chainsaw. I had a gas powered Stihl chainsaw, but I've since SOLD IT because the EGO chainsaw does everything that I need it to do and more! Like any piece of outdoor equipment, in order to continue running smoothly, it will require a small amount of maintenance on your part.
Make sure your chainsaw is properly lubricated with bar and chain oil, sharpened, and ensure the bar sprocket is greased regularly. (All shown in the video) This will help optimize your cutting ability and prolong the lifespan of your chainsaw. EGO offers a 5-year warranty on their tools (as long as it's for residential use) and 3 years on their batteries, which is the most expensive part of the EGO tool line. Overall I'm very impressed with this tool as well as the EGO battery and it's total run-time before needing a recharge.
