IT'S A BEAST!!!! In this video, I review the EGO CS2000 Chainsaw (for some reason I thought it was the CS2001 so I keep saying that but this is the CS2000 Bare Tool Chainsaw and the same CS2005 Chainsaw + battery kit). These is the most powerful battery operated chainsaw I've ever used bar none. It's a major step up in terms of cutting speeds and raw power. That comes at a cost in terms of weight, its a very heavy saw even without a battery pack on it. Although technically you can run this saw with even the smallest 2.5ah battery on it, it will limit you to its lowest speed (ECO). Though that low speed is still pretty darn fast, to really unlock its highest speed you're going to need to use a 7.5AH battery or larger. I used a 12AH battery pack from the Zero Turn Mower to power the saw during my testing. I was able to use this saw to slice horizontally through a pretty massive tree stump and ripped through it in about 1minute and 20seconds. That's really good performance. My EGO CS1800 18" chainsaw was much longer than that and I had to circle around the stump completely with it. With the stock chain and bar, this saw is incredibly fast. Cutting vertically (your typical scenario), I was able to cut an 8" log in 4.5 seconds on its highest speed whereas it took 6-7 seconds to complete the cut with the 18" model and a full chisel chain. The increase in speed is significant and adds up. The main consideration if you're thinking about deciding between the 20" and the 18" model is weight and handling. The CS2000 is a notably heavier saw and going to be more taxing to use continuously. That said, in all measurables of power and cutting speed it is far superior to the excellent CS1800 saw. The CS2000 features absolutely massive metal bucking spots that are razor sharp and the Bar is affixed using two gigantic nuts instead of the large plastic dial on the 18" model. Because of the grunt this 20" model has, EGO clearly stuck with the most tried and true method of chain tension adjustment. Overall, this is a big step forward in battery powered chansaws. EGO uses the "rancher" term more than once in its description of this saw and with good reason. It's a powerful saw with speeds that reminded me of the gas powered saws I grew up using. https://amzn.to/47VnbDp - EGO CS2000 (Bare tool) https://amzn.to/3zC3yUa - EGO CS2005 (Battery kit) https://amzn.to/47VnnT9 - EGO CS1800 (Bare Tool) https://amzn.to/3Bvgw6x - EGO CS1804 (Battery Kit) Switching Supplies I've used: https://amzn.to/44hmlyG - 48v /20.8a 1200w Power Supply (2x = 1440w) https://amzn.to/4de47lV - 60v / 20a 1200w Power supply (2x = 1600w) https://amzn.to/3xWzql6 - 80v / 18a 1500w Power Supply (1270w) Most Powerful, beginner friendly home solar system available: Delta Pro Ultra - https://amzn.to/4aQ66v5 Best Prices and Warranties on Ecoflow Refurb Units; *As an eBay Partner, I may be compensated if you make a purchase https://ebay.us/BGBKvt - Ecoflow Delta Pro https://ebay.us/WFhdZK -Ecoflow Delta Pro Extra Battery https://ebay.us/rvuREO - Ecoflow Delta Max (2kw) https://ebay.us/6TytUz - Ecoflow River 2 Max Frequently Used Battery Adapters https://amzn.to/3r46UKY - Makita-to-Ridgid Adapter https://amzn.to/3pmZMJ2 - Makita-to-Milkwaukee Adapter https://amzn.to/43PdWlb - Makita-to-Dewalt Adapter https://amzn.to/43Z6bZX - Makita-to-Ryobi Adapter
