Electromagnets - How they work and how to build one

I explore some of the principles of electromagnetism, including the Lorentz force, Fleming's left hand rule and the right hand solenoid rule. Using these principles we build a basic electromagnet, and then improve upon it and observe it's interactions with permanent magnets.
