Video Not Working? Fix It Now

A demo and walkthrough of the Digitone II from Elektron. Prior to making this video, I had never used any Elektron devices—so this was a totally new workflow for me to explore (which turned out to be super fun!) This video shares how I've been approaching the Digitone II so far, as an experimental sound design tool and instrument. I'll share a brief overview of the instrument and then dive into a bunch of musical demos, patch examples, and ways I've been enjoying using the Digitone II.

Digitone II is a 16-voice polyphonic digital synthesizer that combines FM synthesis and a number of other synthesis techniques with complex sequencing, layering, and control. The original Digitone was released back in 2018, and this new version has a ton of expanded sound generation and sound shaping tools—more sound engines, more voices, more tracks, etc.
