Ema datshi is a spicy Bhutanese stew made from hot chili peppers and cheese. It is among the most famous dishes in Bhutanese cuisine, recognized as a national dish of the country. "Ema" means "chilli" and "datshi" means "cheese" in the Dzongkha language.
