We took the opportunity while the plane is being painted to get some emergency simulator training at SimPro Flight Training at our home airport, Aurora (KARR). Jaime gets to practice landing if I become incapacitated.
This training is invaluable and I'd recommend all pilots take the opportunity to get emergency training. Whether you fly twins and need to practice a lot of engine out scenarios or if you fly singles and need to practice partial panel, etc. simulator training is good for us all as you can practice things that aren't easily replicable in the plane.
