Today we begin our new Endangered Species Paint with Me series! My drive for doing this series is two-fold. I have been wanting to do more painting tutorials for a while now and many of you know I was a zoo educator before I was an artist. I always strive to incorporate animal education in my daily life, whether that be dropping little factoids into my art classes here and there, having a conversation with whoever I happen to be around that day, or even just simply sharing my artwork that is obviously inspired heavily by my love for animals.
In this series, each episode will feature an endangered animal as well as a unique conservation topic in addition to a visual tutorial for painting the featured animal. This week we are painting an asian elephant but talking both african elephants as well and the troubles that surround their decreasing numbers.
Given that you might be here for a variety of reasons, I will include timestamps below to easily navigate the episode.
