Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Designing and operating sustainable and resilient buildings is a critical component of addressing climate change. In this webinar, Prof. Moncef Krarti and Dr. Nick Clements will present two programs in Architectural Engineering addressing this need. The Building Energy Smart Technologies (BEST) Center is an industry-university cooperative research center (IUCRC) focused on advancing building energy systems through industry partnerships. Two projects funded by the center will be highlighted, a modeling tool for optimizing building retrofits and testing a novel transparent insulating material coupled with thermal energy storage. The DOE Renew America’s Nonprofits program will also be introduced, with CU leading the rocky mountain region in retrofitting nonprofit-owned buildings to reduce energy use by at least 25%.
