In this video, I continue my journey along the Trans America Bicycle Trail, leaving the wide-open spaces of Montana and heading into the rugged beauty of Wyoming. The adventure takes me right through Yellowstone National Park, where I get to experience some of its most famous geysers, including the iconic Old Faithful. The scenery is breathtaking, but as always, the ride comes with its share of challenges. The threat of wildfires looms large again, and the smoky skies return to test my resolve as I push onward.
The ride through Yellowstone is unforgettable, with stops at some fantastic campsites, like Grant Village and Colter Bay, offering stunning lakeside views and a chance to rest and recharge. Along the way, I meet some interesting fellow travelers, including a seasoned cyclist who has ridden around the world, sharing stories and inspiration that make me appreciate the journey even more.
After a well-needed rest day, I press on, battling the smoky haze and the ever-present traffic, but also enjoying the quieter moments and the beauty of the landscape. The video concludes in Dubois, Wyoming, where I prepare for the big decision ahead: staying on the TransAm or switching to the Bike Nonstop route.
