In this video I’ll show you that a simple chunk repair can be done with the most simplistic tools. There may be a few comments that could help you as you consider taking on a rosewood repair of your own, but the most important element is inspiration.
You don’t need $200 rasps, expensive vices, fixtures and all that… you just need to do it.
A clamp, some glue, and a small file and you’re ready to hide that unsightly chip. Well okay, maybe you won’t “hide” it, buy you can certainly improve your plane handle.
Use this project to build you technique and confidence as you get ready for the full horn repair or a mid body break.
