This is my adventure riding the Pamir Highway from Dushanbe through to Sara-Tash in Kyrgyzstan. On my way I encountered extensive road works as the Chinese rebuilt the section that follows the Afghanistan border, had to wait out some tricky weather conditions and found myself having an unexpected, prolonged stay at a Kyrgyzstan military compound. I was attempting to be one of the first tourist through this border in over 18 months following a conflict over disputed borders and water. Hope you enjoy!
