In this episode of Bug Hugs, I head up to North Carolina to meet the legendary Pete Sink, —a true expert on all things Indian Motorcycles. With firsthand experience working at a dealership in the 1950s, Pete has spent decades collecting and restoring vintage bikes. His personal collection is nothing short of incredible, and he gives me a full tour of his home-turned-museum.
But the lessons don’t stop there! I brought a few parts for Pete to inspect, and before I know it, he’s already fixing my kicker lever—then moving straight on to the carburetor. With his sharp eye and wealth of knowledge, he pinpoints issues I never would have caught and teaches me what to look out for and why it matters.
This visit was a masterclass in vintage motorcycle repair, and I walked away with a lifetime of lessons in just a few short hours. Huge thanks to Mr. Pete Sink for sharing his expertise!
