Concluding our exhilarating journey through Northeast India, we immersed ourselves in the vibrant cultures of Assam, Nagaland, and Meghalaya. A highlight was attending the 25th Hornbill Festival in Nagaland, a grand celebration marking its silver jubilee from December 1 to 10, 2024, at the Naga Heritage Village in Kisama. This festival, known as the "Festival of Festivals," brought together all 17 Naga tribes, showcasing their rich cultural heritage through traditional dances, music, crafts, and indigenous games. The 2024 edition was particularly special, featuring partner countries like Japan, Peru, and Wales, fostering cross-cultural exchanges and international performances. The festival attracted over 173,000 attendees, including more than 2,375 international visitors, making it a landmark event in Nagaland's culture
Our journey culminated in Meghalaya, where we had the pleasure of staying at The Sanctuary Resort and Family Stay, a property owned and managed by our family.
