I found the jackpot when it comes to Cambodian food in Siem Reap. Khmer Taste Noodles is as authentic as it gets. Not only is the owner, Boran and her staff amazing, their food and the loaction and setting are other worldly too. Often times in Asia you will find noodles all over the place, but where exactly do those noodles come from? At Khmer Taste ,that is not a question because they make their own rice noodles right on site for everybody to see. It is a long and laborious process which makes me appreciate the rice noodles even more.
Some of the food I eat at this amazing restaurant are Prahok, Deep Fried Spicy Quails, Deep Fried Spicy Field Crabs, Fish Amok and of course a Cambodian Food feast of their special rice noodles served with fresh vegetables and proteins like fish balls, pork belly, snails, catfish and beef tripe.
Do NOT miss this place if you're in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
