The year before last, I crossed a variegated dwarf tomato that has great production, but smaller tomatoes with another dwarf tomato that has great tasting larger tomatoes. I grew two of the F1s last year. They were the best tomato in my garden when considering the overall tomato plant and fruit. This year, I'll be growing the F2 generation. I can expect about 1/4 of the seedlings to be variegated. Since the F2 generation has the most variability, if I grow a dozen plants, I can expect each of them to be slightly different. I'm really excited about the possibilities. I loved the F1s, but I'm hoping for an F2 that is even better. In this video, I'll show you how the two plants did through the summer and then do a taste test of one of the tomatoes. Let me know what you think. Thanks for watching!

When the seedlings outgrow the smaller pots, I transplant them into larger pots like theses. The 10 X 20 seedling trays hold 8 of these.
