On this How To Recipe video, Jemma takes us through how to make Cooked Flour Buttercream/ Frosting, also known as Ermine Buttercream. It doesn't have any icing sugar, no eggs and it reminiscent to a custardy flavour. It's very versatile and stands up well in warmer climates. It's perfect for those who prefer a less sweet buttercream, yet still has a beautiful fluffy, whipped texture.
75g Plain Flour
400g Caster Sugar
1⁄4 tsp Sea Salt
460g Whole Milk
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
460g soft Unsalted Butter
