Etchr watercolours, 24 colour half pan set.

Here is a look at the Etchr Lab watercolour box set - it came with the 24 half-pan palette, a watercolour block and three felt-tip pens. The paint-out is done in a Canson All Media Sketch book with 90lb cold pressed watercolour paper. The brush is a Da Vinci series 10 Kolinsky Sable size 5, and this sort of water container can be found at Amazon.com or DickBlick.com. These watercolours are describes as 'premium student' colours, and I don't usually cover student ranges as they generally lack the range of characteristics that make watercolour so special. However this mostly single-pigment range includes colours and pigments that rival some professional ranges. It includes cadmium and cobalt pigments that are normally series 3 or 4 colours and are not usually included in student ranges. While I would re-name some colours, and found a few a little harder to reactivate, this is an impressive starter set for the price. Being half pans, it is easy to change out colours as desired.
