ブリュッセル滞在後、次の街に移動する際、鉄道を使った国外への移動は、新幹線タリス、ユーロスター、ICEを利用します。 一部オランダ方向は新幹線ではなく快速（インターシティー IC）でも移動が出来ますが、新幹線を利用する旅行者が多いでしょう。 ブリュッセル市内の新幹線発着駅は、ブリュッセル南駅（Midi/Zuid）。 フランス語でいうMidi駅は語感から中央駅を想像することもありますが、中央駅と間違えないようにご注意ください。

ベルギー国鉄は車内検札のため、駅構内に改札はありません。

ユーロスターだけはチェックイン、パスポートコントロール通過があるので出発時間の20分前にはチェックインゲートが閉まります。
チェックイン開始は出発時間の1時間前から。念のため、早めにチェックインすることをお勧めします。

●治安について
ブリュッセル南駅の治安に関するご質問をしばしば頂きます。特別に治安が悪いわけではありません。 但し、スリ、置き引きに気を付けてください。 貴重品の管理には充分に気を使ってください。
・お店での買い物の際は必ず店内にて財布や貴重品をしまうこと。
・店外では、財布や貴重品を出さない。
・小銭入れを用意して、少額の買い物は小銭入れを利用する。
・カフェでは荷物を置きっぱなしにしない。
・エスカレータ、エレベーターでは周囲に注意。エスカレータ利用時に後ろのカバンから貴重品をすられる場合あり。
・スーツケースなどの荷物は最小限にする。
等の配慮をお願いします。
防犯に注意していれば、リスクは激減します。

After your stay in Brussels, you can use the bullet train Thalys, Eurostar or ICE to travel outside the country by train to the next city. In some Dutch directions it is also possible to travel by InterCity IC, but most travellers will use the bullet train. The bullet train station in Brussels is Brussels South (Midi/Zuid). Please note that the French term Midi station is not to be mistaken for Haute Centrale, although the word may suggest Haute Centrale.

Belgian railways do not have turnstiles in the station due to on-board ticket inspection.

Only Eurostar check-in gates close 20 minutes before departure time due to check-in and passport control passing.

We often receive questions about security at Brussels South Station. It is not particularly safe. However, be careful of pickpockets and looters. Take care of your valuables.
When shopping in shops, always put your wallet and valuables away inside the shop.
