We spent many many weeks building this very first battery here in the Off-Grid Garage. Since the new bigger better battery shelf was connected, we have forgotten about the old battery and it sat in the plastic container in a corner of the garage for months now...
It is definitely time to revive it, repair it and definitely test it. The battery consists of three different deliveries and has caused us a lot of headaches: bus bar problems, balancing challenges and capacity problems. But it was also the battery where we explored, tested and learned so much about LiFePO4 batteries. It was a true community project.
The first thing we need to do is repairing this stripped terminal of cell #6. With a new method PowerPaul recommended, it takes less than one minute to repair the terminal. With no expensive material needed.
I also want to show you the new LiFePOQR Code Scanner, Romain from Germany programmed. With its help I found out how old my battery 1.0 really is 😲
