Everton gave every ounce of fight and passion to ensure the last-ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park did not end in defeat as James Tarkowski’s stunning injury-time equaliser secured a 2-2 draw on a memorable night fitting for the Grand Old Lady.
Beto had given the Blues an 11th-minute lead, but Liverpool scored through Alexis Mac Allister and Mohammad Salah - only for Tarkowski to have the final say in the 98th minute.
