We're working on a 1925 Ford, installing a distributor on a model t @Gen3AntiqueAuto Please Subscribe and hit the notification button - leave a comment (even if it's a bad one!).
• This video is about installing a Bosch front plate distributor on a Model T Ford with an Prus head.
• The first step is to remove the old distributor cover, which requires jacking up the rear wheel to turn the motor.
• Once the cover is off, the new gear and seal need to be installed. The seal may cause interference and require modification.
• After a dry run to check fitment, the gear can be installed and the distributor housing sealed with gasket maker.
• The spark plug wires are installed in a specific order, based on the cylinder number.
• The engine is turned to find top dead center (TDC) and the distributor is positioned to fire the spark plug at the right time.
• The distributor is bolted down, and the pulley and other components are reinstalled.
• The engine is not started in this video, but the video promises to show the startup process in the next video.
