Join me as I introduce you to Frank, my 2008 Range Rover L322 4.2 Supercharged, and share the story behind this ambitious project. Over the past twelve months, I’ve been restoring and transforming Frank into the ultimate winter-ready camper for an epic 5,000-mile journey to Nordkapp, the northernmost point of Europe, in the dead of winter.
In this video, I’ll take you through Frank’s journey, from the day I bought him to where he is now. You’ll see the good, the bad, and the downright frustrating as I tackled structural rust, reconditioned the transfer box and rear differential, fully serviced the brakes, and even kitted him out with winter tyres, snow chains, and a diesel heater for those freezing Arctic nights.
This has been one of the most challenging projects I’ve taken on, and it’s all leading up to the Nordkapp trip—a test of both Frank’s capabilities and my determination to make it there and back.
