CARTOON EVOLUTION #33 - FOGHORN LEGHORN
I take a look at the history and evolution of Foghorn Leghorn (also known as Gallo Claudio), the arrogant and obnoxious rooster known as one of the Looney Tunes’ greatest sources of conflict and comedy. Originally debuting as a side-character, he soon stole the show – becoming a star himself. A parody of various popular radio characters of the time, Foghorn even came to overshadow his soon-forgotten inspirations. Appearing in only 29 shorts in the Golden Age, Foghorn still became an iconic and highly beloved Tune.
I take a look at how Foggy has evolved and how animators changed his look, personality and visual style over the years.
