Excavation is key to stump removal using a chain saw and hand tools -- no grinder or stump puller

I remove a stump in my yard using just chain saws and hand tools. There is no need for a grinder or stump puller. The key is to provide good access around the stump so you can cut easily with the chain saw and also open it up to chip out the remnant once you cross hatch cut down in the hole. This one turned out well.
