After the pandemic wrecked the industry and public screenings, Regal Cinemas parent company, Cineworld, filed for bankruptcy.
Regal movie theaters, a chain that brought magic to the big screen for generations, have permanently closed over 500 theaters in the United States.
As of March 2024, there are only around 400 remaining Regal movie theaters.
