I showcase my first two days in Salzburg, Austria from the sights I see to the food I eat. First, I take a train from Vienna to Salzburg. Then I check into my accommodation the a&o Hostel. Next, I explore the beautiful Mirabell Garden (which was famously depicted in The Sound of Music) and the historic area of Salzburg. Finally, I have dinner at McDonald’s and try some items that aren’t available in the US. During my second day in the city, I check out the historic Salzburg Cathedral and then the Franciscan Church. I have a Bosna sausage for lunch and ice cream at Eisgrotte. After that, I explore Mozart's Birthplace. Finally, I have dinner at Gasthof Goldgasse, a Michelin recommended restaurant with traditional Austrian food, including a signature dish of the city, the Salzburger Nockerl.
