Lets go for a look in a wee pocket of the East Neuk Of Fife...
Anstruther, Scotland, is a picturesque coastal gem that captivates visitors with its charm and history. This quaint fishing village boasts a stunning harbor, traditional stone houses, and a thriving fishing industry. Anstruther is renowned for its delectable seafood, especially its famous fish and chips (Award Winning) - You can see it towards the end and the queue was huge lol. Beyond the gastronomic delights, visitors can explore the Scottish Fisheries Museum to uncover the village's maritime heritage. The stunning coastal views, idyllic beaches, and friendly locals make Anstruther an ideal destination for relaxation and exploration. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a food lover, or simply seeking tranquility, Anstruther has something magical to offer.
As I stroll from Anstruther onwards I get to Cellardyke, which is another charming fishing village steeped in history. Cellardyke, a former separate settlement, now seamlessly blends with Anstruther. With origins dating back to the 14th century, Cellardyke's history is intertwined with fishing and seafaring. This quaint enclave retains its maritime character, featuring delightful cottages and a more calmer harbor.
Beautiful place and very popular with people wanting to get away from the bustle of the main stream destinations
