During my various travels through Bosnia and Herzegovina, locals and travelers alike have told me one thing about the city of Zenica: "AVOID it." As is usually the case when people say that, the city turned out to be much nicer than expected, and actually had some charm to it (except for the scary dogs).

Join me on this Balkan adventure to the Bosnian city of Zenica! Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina is famous for its giant steel production plant, or ironworks, I don't know the correct term. But anyways, this giant metal factory has been the lifeline of the city for several decades and even after the Bosnian War still continues to be the largest employer in the area, with over 2,000 employees (plus many more employees adjacent to the metal-works).
