Welcome to this, Exploring Oswestry - Top Things To See And Do In Oswestry Guide Vlog.
We recently took a trip into the county of Shropshire, near the Welsh / English border and visited the lovely town of Oswestry and we loved Exploring Oswestry and want to bring you this Top Things To See And Do In Oswestry Guide.
We'd only visited Oswestry briefly once before, so thought it was time to come and find the top things to see and do in Oswestry and bring you this Exploring Oswestry Vlog Guide.
Although fairly small, Oswestry is a fascinating town rich in history.

We started off our Exploring Oswestry adventure by visiting the Old Oswestry Hillfort, originally built in the Iron Age (800BC to AD43), it remained in use for almost 1000 years.
A short drive into the town of Oswestry was next, with the first stop being the Oswestry Indoor Market, a very lovely market with an excellent community feel.
We explored the town of Oswestry, the old buildings, the memorial garden, St Oswald's Church and much more, before getting some lunch at the Griffin Inn.
The Griffin Inn in Oswestry was said to do the best food on Trip Advisor, so we thought we'd check it out - it did not disappoint!! The food was excellent, as was the service and the atmosphere.
Next was a look around the Oswestry Cambrian Railway Museum. It wasn't open this day, but there was still plenty to see.
After another quick look around town, we went up to the Oswestry Castle Mound. There's not much of the castle left, but it's still fascinating to see and read about all of the history that took place there.
We finished our day off with a trip to the British Ironworks Centre, a few miles outside Oswestry, and wow, this was something else!
We had passed the British Ironworks Centre a number of times over the past year and always thought about paying it a visit, and I'm so glad we did.
The British Ironworks Centre is an award winning attraction for all ages and features incredible pieces of at, completely made from scrap and reclaimed metal. There is also an excellent shop, café, exhibitions, walking trails and much more. The British Ironworks Centre is also the original home of the famous Knife Angle sculpture, which is currently touring the UK.
The British Ironworks Centre really is stunning. We only had an hour or so to spare to look around, but could have easily spent the best part of the day there. We will definitely be returning there in the near future.
As usual, we sum up our day in at home with a well deserved drink, although, as we film this, it's 'Dry' January. so only soft drinks for us.
In our sum up, we give a shout out to two friends of ours who have released some great music recently. The links can be found below.

⭐ About Postcard & A Pint:
Welcome to the official Postcard & A Pint YouTube channel.
Postcard & A Pint was thought up by my partner, Rachel & myself, Wills one day while taking our daily 1 hour exercise during the lockdown of 2020. All of a sudden, we were spending more time together, not working 6 or 7 days a week in the arts industry, and binge watching travel programs, and we were actually really enjoying it, and it made us re-evaluate what was important in life for us. Now back to working 6 or 7 days a week again, with very little time off, our happy time is getting out there on our brief times off together and making short travel videos that we are now sharing with you. It's just a bit of fun, and great for our sanity. Your support is hugely appreciated x
