Charles Dickens' classic tale, 'A Christmas Carol' was first published in December 1843.
As with most of Dickens' work, the locations and characters were inspired by the streets and people he would observe whilst walking around London.
As such, there are a number of locations in the city associated with A Christmas Carol- some are specifically mentioned by Dickens, whilst others are based on landmarks and detective work.
