From Midtown to Queens to East New York, take a 2 hour trip across the city as we check out the NYC Subway late at night.
With a lot of news media painting the subway as unsafe, I decided to travel late at night through various lines to see what a late night ride on the NYC Subway is actually like.
Featuring the R42, R46, R68, R143, R160, R179 and R211 cars across the A D E F G J L Q and R lines.
Taken overnight from 1/6/25 to 1/7/25.
Starting at 7 av in Manhattan, we take a R179 E train to 36 St Queens, we then head back to court Sq along the R and E lines and take the G line.
This was the first day a R179 entered regular service on the E line.
Getting off at Metropolitan Av, we take the L train back into Manhattan.
We then take a rerouted D and A trains from 14 St to the upper east side.
From the upper East side, we take a rerouted a train to East NY. Traveling further East, we transfer to a Canarsie bound L train and we end our trip at the last stop in Canarsie.
