What's the difference between Extraverted Sensing (Se) and Extraverted Intuition (Ne)? Extraverted Sensing (Se) is used by the xSxP types in the Myers-Briggs 16 personalities system (ESFP, ESTP, ISFP, ISTP). Extraverted Intuition (Ne) is used by the xNxP types in the Myers-Briggs 16 personalities system (ENFP, ENTP, INFP, INTP). In this video I'll define the cognitive functions Extraverted Sensing Se and Extraverted Intuition Ne. 0:00 Lens to view this video through 0:44 Jung's Anchor Words & their definitions 2:21 Se vs Ne metaphor 5:36 Symmetric Comparing & Contrasting 17:06 Side by side Keywords This video heavily references quotes from Jung and Van Der Hoop taken from these videos: Extraverted Sensing Deep Dive ➡️ https://youtu.be/NyTbq3pMtmA Extraverted Intuition Deep Dive ➡️ https://youtu.be/UQ5uRczD48Q Cognitive Functions Playlist: ⬇️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9MWMRLDsJrWrXyV6-HRzA-P Myers Briggs 101 Playlist: ⬇️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9MvzTZWl2xEzUcAjWfiu0ep ⬇️ Personality Playlists: ⬇️ INFJ: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9N5q_XbAXfmpahwXP5_XbLi INTJ: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9OcTIFLyY2Osxc8SbQOtptw ENFJ: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9P2xqU6nKcyZgomSRVqshCe ENTJ: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9NeSeL2dm3uYDwaQnloSijp INTP: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9Ob98m2hva2VTVwrGJEagau INFP: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9N8Ey9XFze12cn1RDqq0WuF ENFP: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9MA0ShxJfAdZCjC5nVWMLQ_ ENTP: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9Ppj5PgD1WIn1wB6rDMGnAZ ISTP: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9MGsAQCceg3TneCVW7bd1Zp ESTP: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9NA3jL5jAbSMti0NqDdARC3 ESFP: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9M9C2RmNKj_YlCB9miI5ku0 ISFP: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9Mefs31BWfV5b_3B2198LIQ ESTJ: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9OjIHTrNyUtZOh9tqark6O- ESFJ: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9NGuoD_wOloQQEd5ru2UB-d ISTJ: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9M-dnopWYt72wY84sdqhrs- ISFJ: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo0hph_vdC9Mw28oJr1rhNeVRJivKXGH_ Quotes are taken from the books: Psychological Types by Carl Jung Conscious Orientation by J.H. Van Der Hoop Gifts Differing by Isabel Briggs Myers with Peter B. Myers FAQ: Have you heard of the 8-function model? Yes, I was introduced to the 8-function model in approx. 2015/16. I plan to make videos on it in the future, but I don't feel solidified enough in my understanding of how it works universally to feel comfortable teaching on it yet. However I have always found it interesting in my personal life, and I've been recently trying to develop Ti, which is not in my top 4. My Fe-polr video, my livestream discussing my type, and my video no which cognitive functions to grow showcase my interest in the 8-function model. Have you heard of socionics, enneagram, tritype, vultology, 4 sides of the mind, interaction styles, OPS, or CPT? Yes to all. As for socionics & enneagram, I have done a few collabs on my channel (those videos can be found on my playlist titled "Alexis On Other Channels"). I have read several books on those two topics. In addition to collabs, I have a few enneagram 5 videos on my channel, and one Fe polr video on my channel. The other systems I've heard of and studied on a surface-level. For one reason or another, none of these topics have interested me enough to discuss regularly on the channel.
