Extremely Rusty Pipe Threading Machine - Restoration
In this video I restore a very old pipe threading machine. I bought this pipe threading machine from flea market. This machine is in very poor condition and cannot be used without restoration.
Pipe threading machine restoration I started by disassembling all the parts of the machine.After disassembling all the parts of the machine I washed all the parts of the machine with kerosene oil. It took me more than 3 hours to wash all the parts with kerosene. I left parts of the machine in vinegar for 24 hours. And to remove the paint on the parts of the machine, I used a paint remover and removed the casting marks and then steel putting and painted. After that, I blackened the teeth of the machine by cold blowing and also blackened a bush of the machine by cold blowing. Both machine handles were not original and were broken so I made two new handles for the machine. After restoring all the parts of the pipe threading machine I assembled all the parts of the machine.
