West Michigan Eagle Nest Camera
We are excited to bring you this wild bald eagle nest in West Michigan! This nest is 87 feet high overlooking private property. The male with the completely white head is "Soren" meaning strength and determination. The female, who is younger with the darker head is "Skye" meaning winged one.
Our first eaglet, FR1 hatched on April 3, 2025, and is growing stronger with each passing day. Unfortunately, after FR2 hatched on April 5, 2025, we did notice that it seemed weak all day and didn't lift its head. Even though it came out of the shell quickly, we believe something was wrong with the little guy from the start. That eaglet seemed to have passed that evening. We believe one of the parents removed the eaglet from the nest the following day.
Our eagles are magnificent creatures and as you watch our livestream, know that many times you may witness the harsh realities of nature. The survival challenges they face—predators, environmental factors, and sibling rivalry—can be tough to watch, but they serve as a reminder of how resilient these birds must be to make it to adulthood. There’s something awe-inspiring about seeing nature unfold in real-time, even though it can be heartbreaking at times
