Field crop farmer Sean Dengler of Dysart, Iowa, was one of nineteen participants in the 2024 PFI research trial investigating the impact of reducing applied nitrogen. Having participated in both 2023 and 2024, Sean was able to compare rates of applied nitrogen to learn more about the best practices and potential financial savings for his farm. In this video, Sean shares the rates tested in both trials, talks about his experience as a cooperator and encourages other farmers to conduct on-farm research as a way to learn and improve their farms.
