Drawing on the work of Dr. Jung and others, Dr. Sharon Martin will discuss the re-discovery of feminine authority via relationship with animus as the center of inner psychic equilibrium. The talk will explore the negative masculine as the key to transformation through dream images, neuroses and stories and the emergence of the positive masculine as source of power and bridge to wholeness. Participants will gain understanding of the contrasexual aspect of the psyche. They will also have the opportunity to recognize and work toward healing the inner split of the masculine and feminine principles.
The Charleston Jung Society is a private, non-profit organization and with a vision of raising awareness about the many dimensions of Jungian thought within the Charleston SC community. In accordance with this aim, the Society offers programs and events in depth psychology. Our hope is that our meetings and conversations will offer the space where our members and friends can be supported and engaged in their own process of individuation.
