Today I'm looking at a few "girl power" ads that have gone viral over the past few years, such as Always' Like A Girl campaign, or Dove's body positive campaigns. These ads succeed in getting views and shares on social media, but do they actually help women and girls? I also touch on the Pepsi Kendall Jenner ad and the Gillette toxic masculinity ad, to see if other brands could get these "socially relevant" campaigns right.
