In this video, I will explain the fertilisers requirements for cotton crop. The best Fertilisers plan is necessary to follow to get bumper cotton yield from cotton fields. Some of best fertilisers will be described here. Fertilizer plan is usually based on soil type. Sandy soils needs to be replenished by DAP fertilizer and salts affected, hard or clayey soils respond good when Nitrophos is applied.
Fertilizer plan for Sandy or Fertile soils:
DAP 1 bag + SOP or MOP potash half bag at the time of land preparation.
Urea fertilizer 15 to 25 kg per acre with 15 days interval.
Fertilizer application schedule for salts affected, hard clayey soils:
Nitrophos 1 bag + SOP half bag + Sulphur 2 kg per acre at the age of 25 just after thinning.
Nitrophos 1 bag at 50 days crop
Urea fertilizer 15 to 25 kg per acre with 15 days interval.
Foliar spray formula for cotton crop:
Potash 300 grams
Boron 200 grams
Magnesium 300 grams
Zinc 200 grams
Sulphur 200 grams
Urea 2 kg
All above nutrients are for one acre. Dissolve in water separately and mix them in spray tank just before spray.
