FF7 Chocobo BETTING Guide - Farming GP On Disk 1! Final Fantasy 7 Walkthrough

The problem is that you need plenty of GP to take with you to the Battle Square and before Chocobo breeding becomes available on disk 2 there are few options to choose from for farming for it. I have tried the Wonder Square and the games there are either too slow or too inconistent to win large amounts of GP in a short a time as possible. The dude that sells GP for gold at the entrance of the Gold Saucer can not appear until disk 2. However, thanks to some tips shared by my treasured viewers on live stream I now know of a way to farm a healthy amount of GP from BETTING (not breeding which isn't available) at the Chocobo races! Here is the trick. 1. Exclude betting on any bronze (they kinda look reddish brown) jockeys. Even if they have the best stats. 2. With the chocobos left in the decision making pool, choose the three with the highest speed stats. 3. If the stats are similar, choose based on the color of the jockeys. Platinum (grey) - Gold (yellow) - Silver (blue). *NOTE*. In my experience, the Chocobos that are in a sprinting animation on the betting screen will lose on the long course but have an advantage on the short course.
