This is a generative piece of music I composed using VCV Rack 2. Generative music is ever-changing and self-evolving, created by a system rather than following a fixed composition. In this case, the system is a virtual modular synth patch built within VCV Rack.
VCV Rack serves as a software-based alternative to hardware modular synths while also allowing integration with real-world modular gear. The core idea behind this piece is to establish a framework of probabilities, behaviors, and parameter modulations. Within this framework, the music continuously evolves, never repeating itself. What you hear is just one of infinite possible renderings of the same system-driven composition.
Lately, I’ve been exploring ambient, sci-fi-inspired soundscapes while continuing to refine my guitar craft and more traditional prog-metal compositions. I also handled the visuals, blending a music-reactive object created in Blender with additional video elements.
