My latest review took me to the FIG Sunset View Resort in the San Juan area of the island of Siquijor, in the Philippines. Just a four hour ferry ride from Cebu City, Siquijor is an up and coming place that is the perfect blend of island life, beach, and detachment from the rest of the world. This time I stayed at a newer hotel called the Fig Sunset View Resort.
Located about 25 minutes from the San Juan sea port, the FIG boasts a large grounds with a beautiful pool overlooking the ocean, and stunning views of the incredible sunset. There is a little cliff with a cove that is exclusive to the hotel for the perfect evening relaxation and amazing photo opps.
Breakfast is included and the restaurant has an awesome menu to choose a great variety from western to filipino breakfast. The restaurant is also well rated in general for lunch and dinner and people not staying at the hotel come here to eat.
There are a variety of room categories including larger family rooms and then smaller deluxe rooms. All of them come at a reasonable price and this time I used Agoda to book.
I absolutely loved my stay at The FIG Sunset Resort and highly recommend it.
