Sorry for the wait. So, Final Fantasy X-2. The first ever Final Fantasy direct sequel. I hope. Please don't correct me by saying there was some obscure New Zealand only follow-up to Final Fantasy 5 or something. Final Fantasy 10-2 would kick off the series tradition of following up every single numbered entry with a direct sequel. But how did that turn out? How did X-2 fare? How would it say the groundwork for Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIV, & Final Fantasy XV to do the same? (Maybe even Final Fantasy XVI too, but y'know, I can't exactly tell the future.)
