Attack on Titan was one of my favorite series. Honestly, I had no issue with the ending. I thought it kept with the harsh reality that Attack on Titan was meant to be. Attack on Titan was never meant to have a happy ending. If you went into this anime expecting a good chuckle and the warm and fuzzies, then you were watching the wrong anime. And this is the reason why I thought the ending was perfect. A sad ending for a sad series. I mean, it could have been worse. Anyone seen the End of Evangelion? Yeah. That’s essentially Attack on Titan’s ending, but even sadder. And it was made worse by the hundred and twenty minutes of storyboards, stock images, and constant explanation why Shinji should love himself. It’s supposed to be deep, but everyone knew that ending sucked too bad, so they killed everyone. But alas, we’re not talking Evangelion. We’re talking Attack on Titan. So, before I continue, I should offer you a spoiler warning. I know that the anime has not yet caught up yet, and so I assume that if you’re watching this that you know what’s what. If not, then I’ll offer you a small buffer before I get too spoil-ey about the series.
