Second in our Utah series, we foolishly dodge thunderstorms, rain, and snow while traveling a thousand miles to Utah in a quest to find banded calcite. Because of its look, some people refer to banded calcite as onyx despite it being quite different.
We were inspired by previously seeing how beautifully banded calcite will take a polish. What what we discovered was astonishing.
