Part Two: https://youtu.be/c_K3YqnZ-ps During this Overland trip, Burning Man was in full force as 100,000 people flocked to the Nevada Playa. That said: you won't find me there. I was 100 miles east in search of abandoned ghost towns and gold mines as relics of the Comstock Lode era in the Nevada desert. This Overland expedition ended up being way more involved than I ever thought, but exploring along the "Loneliest Highway in America" on the old Pony Express route and Lincoln Highway was absolutely epic. It's one thing to read about history in some textbook, it's entirely different experience to re-live it. Together with my Jeep and "Nevada Ghost Towns & Mining Camps" by Stanley Paher, I setout to explore the American West. Standby for Part Two!
